Review

This is a Elusive Recording and Mix of Michelle Shaprow EP "Sevenly". Exclusive Recordings has probably said this to many times, but yet it's "TRUE". This EP is a "Perfect" collection of songs that leaves you feeling "GOOD".  Michelle Shaprow heartfelt vocal performance, sings of the up's and downs of Love... something we all have experienced =(  yet the music is upbeat and Eclectic. "Sevenly" shares Michelle's wide range of songs, writing, genres, and are all complimented by top notch musicianship and production.  Guaranteed  Satisfaction !!! N-Joy =)

Michelle single "Time" ( a collaboration with dance music producer Speakerboxx) was recently nominated for Best Dance Pop Record at the 2008 International Dance music awards and reached No.5 on the Billboard Dance music charts. The song was also licensed by TLC for the popular show, "Fashionably Late," starring Stacy London. Her work appears on myriad compilation albums, including OM records Scuba Hidden Treasures, Norman Jay's Good Times 3, Ministry of Sound's Chillout Ibiza and Om's Om Lounge 10. Her single was Warner Brothers "If I Lost You" = reached No.1 on the BBC London radio station 94.9 FM, landed a spot on the Gilles Peterson's top-twenty list, was in regular rotation on Los Angeles' famed KCRW, and became a promotional anthem for VH1. The track was also featured on King Britt's famed compilation project This is What Radio Should Sound like. Most recently Michelle has been working on her forthcoming debut full-length, Sevenly, with producers Alex Elena ( producer and co-writer on Alice Smith's recent Grammy-nominated album on Sony) and Topher Mohr. Her song caught the attention of world-renowned record producer Randy Jackson (also of) "American Idol" who licensed one of her songs for his upcoming compilation album. Just like Michelle, her music is a wide-ranging and multi-faceted, with influences across the spectrum- she defines the inspired music as "trans-genre." The end result is, quite simply, a breath of fresh air.
