Divine Forces is a collection of Recording Artists coming together to incite conscious awareness and unity of "ALL". By utilizing our Divine gifts we aspire to enlighten, entertain and empower you. Our purpose is to inspire, and uplift you thru the force of music, words, and art, all in the spirit of love.
Eric Dennis Roberson was born in Pensacola, Florida. He began singing at the young age of four. By the time he was 11, he had performed in many talent shows of which he was very successful at winning. This was the start of his long successful career in music. Eric's professional recording career started with his first single "Too Many Love Pains" on his own label P-Cola Records. The song is a collectable today, selling all over the world, and still remains on the Amazon store charts competing with such artists as Adell, Michael Jackson, and Pharrell. Moving to Los Angeles, Eric soon advanced his musical ambitions that garnered him to produce Coke and Pepsi jingles for such artists as Denise Willams, and Olie Woodson. (former Lead singer of The Temptations ) While singing demos with Rondor Music Publishing this led to recordings contract offers from A & M records. In 2014 Eric won the Gold Remi Award at the Worldfest in Houston Texas for the music video and rendition of "Mandy". The major turning point was the song and campaign of the song, “Let's Put Our Guns Away”. This connected Eric to vast numbers of Local Communities, News Media, Television, Radio, Law Enforcement, Elected Officials, Ministers, Mothers and More. Thus crystalizing his mantra “POSITIVE MUSIC MAKES POSITIVE PEOPLE”.
Steve "E" Ross Music Producer, Artist, Musician, Composer, Arranger, and Entertainer, embodies the essence of a true artist. His strong musical background includes training at L.A.C.C. Santa Monica College, the prestigious UCLA music and business extension program, Musicians Institute and extended training at Cre8 Music Academy / Westlake Audio Studios. His spiritual training includes Agape International, Micheal Beckwith, A Course In Miracles, Marianne Williamson, Vipassana Meditation Center, Deepok Chopra, Dwayne Dyer and motivational speaker Les Brown. Valerie Chevaughn Frugé has been involved in the performing arts since age three. She’s proud to be a graduate from the prestigious School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio and Marymount Manhattan College's BFA Acting and Musical Theater Program in New York City. Valerie has been casted in several musicals and plays with favorites including Antigone, HAIR, The Wiz, Vagina Monologues and DreamGirls. In addition to theater credit, Ms.Valerie is also a Body Positive facilitator with The Body Positive Organization where she hosts workshops and seminars on body confidence and acceptance. Gerald Rivers has earned accolades performing, speaking and touring all over the country and abroad as this resonating voice from the past of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. . Over twenty years and dozens of King speeches fully committed to memory has garnered him recognition from the King family, the King Center, NAACP, SCLC, National Baptist Convention and he has been a part of the National holiday celebrations in Atlanta, DC, LA and Bermuda. He was also invited to be a part of the Dr. King Memorial dedication celebrations in Washington DC. He is also a tremendous voice over talent, his extensive credits include cartoons and video games, Disney, McDonald's radio commercials and the voice of the "Tobacco Free Florida" radio and television campaign. Toquon Tha MC of Soul Elevation is known for being a host, hype man, and an exceptionally talented rapper. From the young age of 11, Toquon was predestined to become a MC. Inspired by the emergence of Rap music in the 80's, it was not long before he was on tour with the Run-DMC, Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys. His passion and talent lead him to Los Angeles where he recorded "GOT LUV". He soon started touring with DJ Icy Ice (of the Beat Junkies) rocking clubs, and arenas around the world. Gracing the stages with some of the biggest names in music: KRS1, Dilated Peoples, DJ Quik, The Black Eyed Peas, Loose Ends, and Kanye West Release Party. Superior showmanship, quick witted lyricism, smooth flows has branded him "Master of tha Mic''. Toquon's reputation along with an electrifying stage presence, has made him an extremely "POWERFUL" artist, rapper, and MC in Hip Hop.
Brutha Gimel Hooper, DJ, Artist, Poet and Co-Founder of Da Poetry Lounge. ( The inspiration behind Russell Simmons' Def Poetry on HBO ) Is a creative force with the gift of spoken word and of DJ-ing events for over twenty years. He has learned how to ignite any room and to find its rhythm that uplifts and moves the crowd. From being a member on four high ranking slam teams and fixture in the poetry community, Gimel has been directly and indirectly responsible for numerous venues getting off the ground. Activism through the arts has been a motivating force that helped him to perfect his gift of spoken word for Social change and the upliftment of Our Society.
Lord Byron Scott started out singing in the Church choir at the young age of six. Son of the Church Pastor, this meant that young Byron was required to sing daily for the Church services. Quote: “God, Music and singing were always a major part of my upbring and our family history ”. Soon he was leading choir services, directing harmonies, song selections and lead vocalist. This sparked the start of his musical education and career. Growing up in Carson California, Education was always encouraged by his parents. After attending Carson High School, and West Los Angeles College Bryon was awarded a music scholarship to UCLA. There he flourished as the top student in his musical classes, all the while working part-time in the TV industry. While working at different TV show tapings Byron was called up to sing before the live audiences as entertainment during taping breaks. This earned him the reputation as the man with the “Golden Voice”. After earning his Bachelor degree from UCLA, Bryon continued his vocal and music education at UC Irvine, thus acquiring his P.H. Degree in vocal training. “A True Star Rising”!!!
